Sharon
Sharon began bellydancing in 1972, when it became all the rage nationally. Taking lessons from Arabic women in the Dearborn, MI area, she and the other students were taught one move at a time - practicing each move for weeks!
Sharon credits bellydancing with helping her retain her strength and flexibility as she ages. About to turn 60 herself, she plans to continue to teach the benefits of this dance to young and old alike.
Sharon has been instructing with Beledi since its inception. She was responsible for bringing bellydance to Northwestern Michigan College five years ago - and has a hand guiding all of Beledi’s resident instructors and dancers. We are lucky to have her!
Sharon has been married for 40 years, with four children and five grandchildren.
